Are Google’s Local Services Ads really worth it?

Are you a service-based business looking to get more people in the door?

If your business is eligible, we would recommend running Google Local Services Ads.

In the past, Google Local Services Ads (GLSA) was only available to a niche sector of service based businesses in certain geographical locations, but it is now becoming available to a wider variety of service based businesses in several areas.

If you’re able to run GLSA in your area, it is a very powerful lead generation tool that connects people who are looking for a specific service on Google to businesses who offer that service.

Think Google Ads, but simpler.

They don’t display any headlines or descriptions — they only share the most essential information about your business.

These ads will show your business’ name, your hours of operation, the area you serve, your star ranking (based on your Google reviews) and a green check mark that says, “Google Guaranteed.”

Here’s an example of what they look like:

As you can see, these ads are short, sweet and to the point. But they pack a serious punch!

Here’s why…

Unlike Google Ads, GLSA prioritizes your ad based on how high your Google reviews are. This means, the higher your reviews are, the more often your ads will appear. Better yet, if you have higher reviews than your competitors, your ads will appear first in line!

But, this isn’t even the best part…

You only have to pay Google for every lead you receive. You don’t get charged for clicks.

And, as if that weren’t enough, They appear at the VERY top of a Google search when someone in your area is searching for the type of services you offer. And when I say the very top, I mean, above your competitors who are running Google Ads!

How cool is that?

So, if you’re a service based business looking to generate high quality phone call leads, and get more people in the door, GLSA is a fantastic option for you!

The only caveat is, there are still several businesses and areas that aren’t eligible to run Local Services Ads yet. However, my team and I can check to see if you are eligible to run them.

If you are, we would recommend taking advantage of the opportunity as soon as possible so you can be one of the first businesses in your area to run GLSA. If you aren’t, we can ask Google to notify you if/when your business becomes eligible.
